The Invest Talent Cybersecurity Hub applies the Invest Talent employer-led model to a critical, fast-growing sector that underpins regional competitiveness, innovation, and trust in digital systems.

Led by Invest Vancouver, this Hub brings employers together to collectively validate workforce demand, clarify job-readiness expectations, and inform scalable talent solutions aligned with real operating environments.

The benefit of a sector-specific hub

Workforce challenges in cybersecurity are shared across employers and cannot be solved effectively through isolated hiring or one-off training programs.

The Cybersecurity Hub provides a structured, employer-led forum to:

Aggregate and validate shared workforce demand
Translate demand into clear, coordinated signals for system partners
Identify where alignment or intervention is most needed
Reduce duplication and hiring friction across the ecosystem

The six-step model

Identify priority sectors and roles using labour market and economic data

Aggregate employer demand to validate scale, timing, and readiness

Signal clear, shared skills needs to training and workforce partners

Co-design applied, role-specific pathways with employers and partners

Deliver targeted pilots or ecosystem interventions

Measure, learn, and scale what works across sectors and regions

Employers participate in time-limited, strategic engagement through interviews, Skills Needs Forums, and co-design activities. Invest Talent coordinates sequencing, partner alignment, and learning design and delivery.
