Invest Talent’s Medtech pathways are employer-validated, applied talent pathways designed to help learners prepare for and transition into quality jobs in the Metro Vancouver region’s expanding medical technology and life sciences sector.

These pathways are shaped directly by employers through the Invest Talent Medtech Hub to reflect real production environments, job-readiness expectations, and hiring needs – not just classroom learning.

The medtech opportunity

The Metro Vancouver region’s life sciences and medical technology sector is one of the fastest-growing in Canada, having grown 27 per cent in GDP since 2019. The sector now supports 28,500+ jobs across British Columbia, with strong demand concentrated in the Metro Vancouver region.

Over the next several years, employers are expected to face a talent gap of approximately 5,500 workers by 2027, making job-ready talent essential to sustaining growth and innovation.

Invest Talent pathways are designed to help learners access these opportunities by building employer-aligned skills and readiness for work in medtech environments.

Invest Talent is a pilot initiative with pilot-funded seats available. There is no fee to apply. If a specific training element has a cost, it will be communicated clearly before enrollment.
