Invest Talent is an employer-led, regionally coordinated talent accelerator, led by Invest Vancouver and funded by the Future Skills Centre. It brings employers together to collectively define workforce demand and shape talent pathways that align with real jobs, real operating environments, and real business needs.
Rather than reacting to pre-defined training programs, employers play a central role in Invest Talent by validating priority roles, clarifying what “job-ready” means in practice, and informing solutions that no single employer could design alone.
Through structured, time-limited engagement – including employer interviews, Skills Needs Forums, and co-design sessions – Invest Talent translates employer insight into clear, shared signals for education, workforce, and community partners.
Invest Vancouver acts as a neutral convener and system coordinator, reducing the burden on individual employers while ensuring workforce investments are relevant, timely, and aligned with hiring outcomes.
The result is a more responsive workforce system that:
-
Improves access to job-ready talent
-
Reduces hiring friction and onboarding risk -
Aligns training and supports to real business demand -
Strengthens regional competitiveness and investment readiness
