Join us in June 2023 as public and private sector organizations celebrate the clean transportation sector in the Metro Vancouver region and spotlight local innovations to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, reimagine the regional transportation experience, and engage with policy and business leaders from around the world.

With demonstration events, networking sessions for investors seeking their next new mobility investment opportunity, and panels elevating groundbreaking and disruptive ideas, clean transportation month offers something for everyone.


The Metro Vancouver region has established itself as a prominent player in the research, development, production, and export of innovative mobility solutions for combating climate change. By fostering collaboration between the government, industry, academia, and researchers, and leveraging its strengths in the hydrogen sector and clean transportation, we can take this industry to the next level.

HUB Bike to School Week

Date: May 29 – June 2, 2023

HUB Cycling's Bike to School Week is an annual celebration where we encourage students of all ages and abilities to bike, roll, or walk to school. The event is a great way to enhance green initiatives already happening at your school, build community, and highlight the benefits of active transportation - like less congestion and healthy, energized students. Nearly 130 Metro Vancouver schools have already registered! Register your school for free today at bikehub.ca/btsw.

HUB Go by Bike Week

Riding your bike isn't only meant for days off. Shift gears from weekend rides to weekday commutes with Go By Bike Week!

HUB Cycling's Go by Bike Week is a week-long celebration of cycling, where we encourage everyone in Metro Vancouver to give cycling a try for one week and motivate those that already do to keep riding.

This year's event will have 30 Celebration Stations where participants can ride by for free snacks, basic bike maintenance, cycling maps, and more! You're also invited to join HUB Cycling and the community at a wrap-up party at Trout Lake on Sat, June 3, from 11 AM - 3 PM! Register solo or as a team with your co-workers, roommates, family, or friends at bikehub.ca/gbbw.

hy-fcell Canada 2023

hy-fcell Canada brings together renowned international specialists to discuss solutions for clean energy with hydrogen and fuel cells. The two-day interactive conference program and international exhibition is complemented by a full day of technology tours.

Event participants from across the hydrogen and fuel cell industry, and related sectors: policy, R&D, finance, production, delivery, infrastructure, storage, and multiple end-users including transportation, industrial and stationary power applications. Surrey Board of Trade: The Economic Future of Metro Vancouver - Transportation and Land Use Planning

Metro Vancouver is one of the fastest growing economic regions in Canada. On June 9, the Surrey Board of Trade will host Mayor Brad West, Chair of TransLink’s Mayors’ Council and Mayor of Port Coquitlam, and Mayor George Harvie, Metro Vancouver Board Chair and Mayor of Delta to discuss the economic future of Metro Vancouver and how the two agencies work together to create cohesive plans for transportation and land use. They will share updates on regional transportation and strategic plans for the region and respond to your questions.

Car Free Day Surrey

Car Free Days is an internationally recognized movement that is celebrated in major cities across the globe. Car-free Day returns June 10, taking over 137th Street and transforming the street into a pedestrian paradise with multiple stages, artisan vendors, local merchants and family friendly fun!

This event will celebrate the businesses with storefronts on 137th with extended patios and booths, in addition to multiple activities for people to take part in on Saturday June 10, 2023 between Noon and 8:00 pm.

This is a free community festival; free of cars, promoting active transportation, focused on families and the promotion of local business.

2023 Island City, by Bike

Date: June 11, 2023

Join the City of Richmond for a free, family-oriented guided ride exploring some of Richmond's on-street and off-street bike routes. Bike check at 10:00 am. Long ride (22.5 km) leaves at 11:00 am. Short ride (8.5 km) leaves at 11:30 am. Reconvene for refreshments and raffle prize draw.

2023 Clean Energy Summit
