Between 2020 and 2024, $5.4 billion USD was raised by cleantech firms headquartered in the Metro Vancouver region, driving sustainable solutions to new heights.

Home to a world-class network of research and innovation centers, the region is a hub for talent as well as global partnerships, and the development of next-gen technologies.

Recapping Web Summit Vancouver 2025

From tech innovators to investors and everyone in between, 15,000 people from the global tech community gathered at Web Summit Vancouver. At the largest North American tech conference, Invest Vancouver used the opportunity to engage with international investors throughout the week to promote investment opportunities in the region.

Invest Vancouver also collaborated on several initiatives and activities including the Innovation and Investment Insider Tours with partners to promote and position the Metro Vancouver region as a global destination for investment by showcasing our innovation, talent, and supportive ecosystem.

*New Announcement - Future Skills

Invest Vancouver received $480,000 in grant funding from the national Future Skills Centre for Invest Talent, a workforce development initiative led by Invest Vancouver that will engage more than 60 employers on skills needs and provide training opportunities to 120+ people to enhance the region’s talent pipeline.

The pilot project will offer hands-on learning opportunities and will use AI to create a flexible workforce development platform that matches available talent with industry needs as determined by regional industry champions.
